Wesley's was a large old Methodist Church in the heart of Wolverton and one of the four major show piece Grade II Listed Buildings in the town. When last open it had a large Sunday School & Kitchen/Toilet Facilities, but 20 years ago the rear hall was knocked down (although a Grade II Listed Building) taking all the facilities away. Prior to King's purchasing it, Wesley's suffered 20 years of neglect, resulting in holes in the roof not repaired & Victorian airways & vents covered over stopping all air flow. The rain & lack of ventilation caused major Dry Rot, Brown Rot damage along with other issues.
Over 2010/11 The Elders & Directors came to a place of FAITH over selling The Kings Centre - the old Admin Centre (with an acre of non-residential land) to finance the purchase of a PEOPLE BUILDING - Wesley's!
We are restoring the large front half to full use & doing major renovations so that once again JESUS is worshiped in this building.
